Don Jazzy is the immediate older brother of the Nigerian pop musician D’Prince. Don Jazzy began to sing when he was 4 years old. At the age of 12, Don Jazzy began playing drums, bass guitar and traditional instruments. Don Jazzy completed his primary education in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria, and received his first school leaving certificate.
After completing his undergraduate education, Don Jazzy attended the Federal Government College in Lagos, Nigeria, and received his West African high school diploma. After completing secondary education, Don Jazzy attended Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma in Edo State, Nigeria and graduated with a BA in Business Management.
In 2000, Don Jazzy visited London to play drums for a local church. While in London, he met D Banj and both became good friends. Don Jazzy studied with Emeka Infiniti at the O-Town record label and became a professional record producer. In 2006 Don Jazzy produced his first studio album “No Long Thing”, his second studio album “Rundown / Funk You” and his third studio album “Curriculum Vitae”.
In 2011, Don Jazzy was hired by American hip-hop star Kanye West as a producer in his studio “Very Good Beatz”. On November 5, 2013, Don Jazzy had a conflict with his artist Wande Coal, who left the label two days later. In September 2014, Don Jazzy produced and released Reekado Banks and Dija, a Nigerian song titled “Arise”.
