Arthur Eze was born on November 27, 1948 in the village of Ukpo in Anambra state. He is popularly known as “Prince Arthur Eze” because he comes from a royal family and his older brother is the traditional ruler (king) of Ukpo Village.
Arthur attended the St. Augustine Secondary School in 1970 in Nkwere, Imo. After completing secondary education, he went to California State University, Long Beach, California from 1974 to 1978 to study mechanical engineering and chemical engineering. He is married and blessed with children. One of his children, Onyeka Eze, is the founder and president of the Prince Osisioma Foundation.
Atlas Oranto Petroleum was founded in 1991 by Arthur Eze. The company currently has 22 oil and gas licenses in 12 African countries. It has assets in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and several blocks operated by Atlas Oranto. To date, the company is the largest holder of oil exploration blocks in Africa. Atlas Oranto has regional offices and representative offices in key investment locations in West Africa. The technical base is located in Lagos, the head office is in Abuja. The chairman chose Abuja as its headquarters so that the company management has direct access to African decision-makers in the region. The Eze family owns the company’s shares and all shareholders participate in the company’s business.
